Memory Eternal, Ephrem Talley
With great sorrow but firm hope in the resurrection, we share the news that young Ephrem Talley reposed in the Lord around 9pm tonight. He was surrounded by his loving parents Nancy and Daniel, as well as his sisters Amelia and Gertrude.
Ephrem C. Talley, 14, reposed in the Lord on December 22, 2019 at TC Thompson Children’s Hospital, Chattanooga, TN, following a short illness. Ephrem was a joyous, loving, and caring child. He spent a lot of his early childhood out in the wild, playing in creeks, forests, marshlands, and meadows. He always loved a trip to the swimming hole or a canoe paddle down a river. He had a passion for bike riding and recently for motorbikes and scooters. Ephrem loved spending time with family and friends and would go out of his way to welcome strangers and outsiders as Christ himself. He attended Normal Park Upper School and was also very active in his church youth group and occasionally served as an altar boy at St. Tikhon Orthodox Mission. Ephrem is survived by his father Daniel, mother Nancy, and two sisters Amelia and Gertrude; grandparents Raymond and Deborah Talley, David and Barbara Masoner; great-grandmother Lorene Talley; Aunts, Uncles, Great Aunts and Great Uncles, four dear cousins, many extended family members and godparents Fr. Christopher and Anastasia Morris.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at the link below to help the Talley family cover funeral expenses and to provide a financial buffer for Nancy to take time off work to care for her family in their time of grief.
